Tour 12: The New Forest & Bournemouth
When William The Conqueror saw the forest in 1079, he ruled that it should become the royals’ hunting ground. Nowadays everyone can visit the area; there is probably more woodland now then in William’s time. As we drive through the Forest on our way to Bournemouth you will see ponies and cattle grazing; you may see Fallow deer browsing under the canopies of the mighty oak trees. Optional stop for mid-morning tea, early lunch, or, perhaps, some horse riding.
